Support our Services Team
There are a number of ways you can get involved in helping us to deliver our services and awareness raising activity.
Whether you lend us your organisational skills to help us organise our online awareness talks or help us organise or deliver one of our online patient support events, you'll be making a real difference to people affected by bowel cancer.
Our current opportunities
Volunteer moderators for our Family, friends and carers support Facebook Group
Our Family, friends and carers support Facebook group is a private space for partners, relatives and friends of people who have been diagnosed with bowel cancer. The group helps to connect people and enables members to give and receive support.
We’re looking for volunteer moderators who can use their knowledge and experience of supporting someone with bowel cancer to help us ensure the group is a supportive, friendly and welcoming space. If you’re comfortable using Facebook and have around four hours a week you’d like to dedicate to supporting our group, please use the buttons below to find out more and apply.
Please note: to apply for the role you must be a member of our Family, friends and carers support Facebook group.
If you have any questions or would like more info, please contact the Online Communities team by emailing onlinecommunities@bowelcanceruk.org.uk.
Awareness Volunteers
Our Awareness programme aims to provide accurate information and advice about bowel cancer signs and symptoms through our national roadshow and via talks and stands both in person and virtually to businesses, schools, community groups – you name it! For these activities we rely on enthusiastic volunteers who themselves have experience of bowel cancer, either themselves or through a close friend or family member. If you have an experience of bowel cancer and are confident speaking to others about the disease then this role could be for you.
We're currently looking for volunteers across the nations.
