Bowel Cancer Awareness Month Champion
Use your voice in the community, in-person or virtually, to make sure everyone knows the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer.
Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. Nearly everyone survives bowel cancer if diagnosed at the earliest stage. You can help make early diagnosis possible — become a Bowel cancer awareness champion and help us share the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer with as many people as possible.
No long-term commitment is required — just a little bit of your time and your local knowledge! We'll provide you with everything you need to get you started including our toolkit and handy guide, as well as support from our dedicated volunteering team. Then all that's left to do is share the resources we provide with your community, be that in-person or virtually.
Sign up below to help bring us closer to a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer.
How can I take part?
Being a Bowel Cancer Awareness Champion is all about using your voice to help raise as much awareness of bowel cancer and its symptoms as possible. Taking part is simple and can be tailored to how much you want to get involved.
You could raise awareness of the symptoms of bowel cancer to ensure more people are diagnosed earlier when the disease is most treatable and curable. You could do this:
- from the comfort of your own home, by using your social media to share our specially curated social media graphics or videos
- in your community and ask your local businesses, community notice boards and places of worship to proudly display our symptoms poster
- at your workplace by sharing information with your colleagues, through your staff newsletters, our leaflets, or by putting the symptoms posters up in your staff toilets
