PassItOn Story Wall Guidelines
It’s important that we keep this story wall as safe as possible for everyone. To do this, we ask you to adhere to our guidelines.
Our #PassItOn story wall is a place to:
- Offer support to those affected by bowel cancer and their loved ones
- Share knowledge, experience, stories, tips and advice based on your personal experience
- Help raise awareness and campaign for early diagnosis
Guidelines
When contributing, please:
- Be respectful of others
- Don’t mention names of GPs, GP surgeries, NHS Trusts, hospitals, or healthcare providers
- Don’t give out personal details such as full names of other people or contact information
Prohibited contributions
We don't allow:
- Discriminatory, hateful, threatening, or abusive language (including racist, sexist, homophobic comments)
- Bullying or harassment
- Unlawful or objectionable content
- Libellous or defamatory statements
- Extreme political or religious views
- Violent or pornographic material
- Factually incorrect information
- Advice that could cause harm
- Spam or repetitive posts
- Advertisements (except personal recommendations)
- Negative comments about hospitals or healthcare professionals
Enforcement
All contributions are moderated. Actions for guideline violations include:
- Editing or rejecting contributions
- Blocking users in extreme cases
We may contact users to suggest amendments or inform them of rejections. Persistent breaches will result in removal without warning. Appeals can be emailed to: bcamstories@bowelcanceruk.org.uk.
Moderation
Our story wall is monitored daily, including weekends. Contributions may take up to two working days to be published.
