By raising awareness of bowel cancer and the work we do, we can reach more people and help save more lives. 

Whether you have personal experience of bowel cancer, or through a family member or friend, your story can help educate people about signs and symptoms, encourage screening uptake, increase understanding of what treatment involves, and inspire others who are affected by the disease.

Your story could feature on our website or social media channels, in fundraising campaigns, health information, or in national and regional media. We’ll always check with you first to make sure you’re happy with where your story will appear.

We welcome everyone’s story. To support as many people as possible, it’s important our stories represent the voices of people affected by bowel cancer across all communities and backgrounds.

We currently need more stories from people who:

have been diagnosed after seeing our awareness work, like Tell Your GP Instead, symptoms information on loo roll packaging as part of #GetOnARoll, or our awareness roadshows
are from minority ethnic backgrounds
have experienced bowel cancer in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
have recently experienced long waiting lists
